Occupational Hazards Evaluation in Residential Construction Projects: Novel Sorting Methods Based on q-Rung Orthopair Fuzzy Choquet Integral

Despite multiple efforts to improve safety in construction, insufficient hazard identification remains a significant concern. Failure address these hazards can lead severe incidents that harm workers and firm’s reputation. This problem is especially prevalent construction small medium enterprises (SMEs) due their limited resources, reliance on manual labor, lack of technical expertise regarding concerns. Thus, this study addresses the gap by offering computational framework provides comprehensive evaluation occupational hazards, considering factors, such as severity, frequency occurrence, likelihood detection, which are risk dimensions failure mode effect analysis (FMEA). Notwithstanding FMEA-based methods for sector, drawbacks attributed interdependencies handling judgment uncertainties evident. In work, an extension FMEA developed assigns category under holistic better current limitations FMEA. particular, offers two-fold contribution: (1) putting forward proposed Choquet–FMEA–Sort q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-ROFS) environment (2) demonstrating actual case Philippines comprehensively evaluates SMEs. Results demonstrative residential projects show out 26 identified 18 pose high workers, while remaining eight moderate risk. High-risk require more attention mitigation efforts, SMEs facing resource constraints. The offered work aids decision-makers identifying high-risk systematic approach. robustness stability were tested using layers sensitivity comparative analyses.
